Dec 22nd Treat Bags

Ok I'm sorry, I said I would post a new Christmas project each day in December, and I have missed a couple of days over the weekend.
So I will have to make it up by posting a couple of extra projects this week. I guess with shopping, baking and working a full time job something was going to get missed, and at this moment it is cleaning my house and posting on my blog.

The treat bags are topped with the Top Note Sizzix die, a felt snowflake and a tag made with the Deer Friend Stamp Set all Stampin' Up!
products except the red pom pom nose. I made these treat bags to give as gifts, they were filled with a snack mix I made today. Yummy!
Thanks Cindy

Dec 20th

This is a card we made at my Christmas Card mini camp, I cased from Splitcoast stampers. Every time I looked at the card it was missing something, so I added the bows to the top of the bulbs and it looked much better. This is another of the very simple cards I made this holiday season. Thanks Cindy

Gingerbread Man Dec 18

The Gingerbread Man is to motivate us to get our baking done. I don't know about you but I'm having a hard time getting my holiday baking done. I know I have baking to get done but my new Big Shot came today and I would rather be stamping in the bat cave than making a mess in the kitchen. But tomorrow I will start my cookies and have to slip some stamping time in the wee hours of the morning to get my stamping fix. Happy baking Cindy

It's Frosty outside Dec 16th

It's Frosty outside is my 1st attempt to make a character out of the Top Note Die by Sizzix for Stampin' Up! Ok I know she looks alttle sad, but we will just say she is freezing cold, not sad. This was very easy, so I think I will try to make another one soon so she has a friend. I cased this card from Gretchen Barron, she motivated me to try one of these cards. Thanks Cindy

Sparkle Dec 15th

Sparkle- This is a idea I had to go with basic colors and add a bit of sparkle. Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White with gold and silver embossing powder is all that went into making this card. This is my Christmas sparkle. Thanks for looking Cindy

My Christmas card for 2007- Dec 14

This is a picture of my Christmas card that I sent to friends and family last Christmas. When I first saw this technique on Splitcoast Stampers last year, I knew that I wanted to use the City of David Stampin' Up! set( now retired) I had just purchased. I stamped on vellum and colored in with my watercolor pencils, then blended with my blender pens. After the water coloring was dry I embossed my circle with iridescent ice embossing powder and glued it to my card. Tomorrow we will go back to current stamps, I just wanted to share my card from last year. Thanks Cindy

Dec 13 -18 cards in 6hrs

I really did it, 18 cards in just 6hrs. I used the Simply Sent card kit, Handmade Holiday card Elements, it is a complete kit of everything to make 18 cards. The only thing that is not included was the coordinating stamp set. I used the Best Yet and a snowflake from the Season of Friendship stamp sets I already owned and added some coordinating Stampin' Up! ribbon. This was 18 very quick cards that I purchased for $14.36 during one of the fall promotions. What a deal. Thanks Cindy

Little Snowman bag and gift tag Dec 12th

I hope you like my little snowman gift bag and tag set, we made these at a workshop this week. Baja Breeze and Real Red make for a very lively combination on this bag. I used Two Cool Dudes stamp set and Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (dsp) with Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon to complete the bag and added red hemp twine to the gift tag for an accent.

Happy shopping, baking and gift wrapping Cindy

Gift card holders- December11 th

Here are two different gift card holders for both the men and women on your gift list. This weeks theme has been gift tags, gift bags and gift tags. I used my new Stampin' Up! Sizzix dies to make the top gift holder and my Sizzix Circle#1 to make the bottom one. I hope this inspires you to make a few for the people that are getting gift cards on your list.

Thanks Cindy

Dec. 7th, it's a tree

It's a tree, was a card that was headed to the trash can, but since my favorite saying is "it's not a mistake it's a embellishment opportunity"the tree was saved. Last month at my Stained glass/vellum class someone mistakenly used clear embossing powder on their vellum, instead if gold. Since they really wanted their card to look like the one I was demonstrating, I let them start over and I rescued the tree. 1st I did a emboss resist technique with Always Artichoke on the vellum, used versamark snowflakes to make a background on my Sahara Sand cardstock, embossed Bravo Burgundy on my brads, and added a 5/8 in Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain bow.
I hope you like it, Cindy

December 2nd and 3rd

December 2nd I was going to post the snowman picture from stamp camp,
it is a 8 x 10 picture using ski slope DSP, snow flakes made from the new sizzix dies and clear rhinestone brads from the pretties kit. This would have posted had I hit the save key on my computer, I guess didn't. So Sorry!

December 3rd - a card from stamp camp, using ridinghood red cardstock and ribbon, ski slope DSP, large and wide punches, stamp sets- best yet a hostess set and wishing you cheer. The colors used in the card and picture are not my normal Christmas combinations, but I have enjoyed using them this Christmas.

Thanks Cindy
